While studying for her doctorate, owner Glory Thorpe’s research focused on how media incites emotional reaction and how that reaction exhibits itself physically and behaviorally in people. Although fascinated by her work, the industry of academe left little room for the aesthetic expression she craved.
The knowledge gained from academe coupled with years of previous experience in the wedding industry led her to focus her efforts on the design and craftsmanship of couture wedding invitations.
The first designs melded traditional paper-based invitation structure with textiles (brocades, ginghams, and fun prints on card stock). However, soon the love for the sumptuous colors and interesting texture of dupioni silk took hold, and became the focal point and signature fabric for Revelry's designs.
Today, Revelry Invitation Studio is known as one of the foremost bespoke invitation design firms in the US. We have developed a reputation of excellence and innovation in design, and have earned the trust and confidence of stationers and planners who use our products in their couture invitation collections everyday.
